Coming out of the Disney Renaissance-era, Mulan is the story of a girl who wants nothing more than to bring honor to her family. But at what cost? Disney went ahead and did something new to their “live-action Disney movie” streak. The plot leans more towards the actual legend instead of the fictionalized version ’90s kids fell in love with.

The ninth installment of the DCEU is close to gracing the big screen. Wonder Woman 1984 follows the life of Diane Prince (aka Wonder Woman) as she meets two of her archenemies, Maxwell Lord and Cheetah. Oh, and she somehow reunites with Chris Pine’s character, who allegedly died in the first movie. Spoiler alert.

So, all in all, it’s pretty much going to be the same action-packed movie as the original. Only, now it’s in the ’80s, so there should be fanny packs present. The highly-anticipated WW84 is set to premiere in theaters on June 5, 2020.

Birds of Prey is a spin-off from the flop of a movie that was Suicide Squad. So let’s all take a moment and cross our fingers in hopes that they got something right this time. The film is going to follow Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn as she joins forces with other crazy ladies of Gotham City as they try to save Cassandra Cain from crime lord Black Mask.

The film is going to be the first in the DCEU to be rated R, meaning that you can bet on some lady-slaying action. Be sure to catch Birds of Prey in theaters on February 7, 2020.

Considering Scarlet Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff (aka Black Widow) made her debut in Iron Man 2, it’s amazing that she is just now getting her standalone film. Better late than never. Come May 1, 2020, MCU fans are finally going to get the story of the mysterious international spy and assassin.

Thankfully, the wait is over, and we will get to see Black Widow in all of her martial arts glory. Starring alongside Scar-Jo is new break-out star Florence Pugh and the beautiful Rachel Weisz. Be sure to get your tickets ahead of time because Black Widow is sure to draw a crowd.

Following his Oscar win, filmmaker Spike Lee has decided to take his skills to Netflix. His next project, called DA 5 Bloods, is a war epic, centering around four African-American Vietnam vets who return to the war in search of their missing squad leader. Oh, and they want to hunt for buried treasure.

Filming began on March 23, 2019, in both Thailand and Vietnam. It’s safe to say that the movie is going to be scenically beautiful. Unfortunately, there is no set release date for the film. Be sure to keep an eye out for all original films coming to Netflix 2020!
