Celebrity gossip is a guilty pleasure for a lot of people. Why focus on your own drama when there is someone else's plastered all over social media that you can invest your time in? The best is when the gossip is of their own makings, such as poorly photoshopped pictures, lies, and photo stealing.
With all of the pressure to impress the public with their image, some can't help but lie. Too bad fans have eagle-eyes, and they always catch celebrities in their little white lies! Well, not bad for us because some of these pictures and tweets are gold.
Kim K And Blac Chyna Looking For Some Extra Attention
It's no secret that Kim Kardashian West and Blac Chyna have had quite a dramatic relationship. First, they were best friends, then they had a falling out over the rapper Tyga, of all people, and then they were back to being friends again. You can take the girl out of high school but you can't take the high school out of the girl.
Back in 2014, the then-friends uploaded what seemed to be just another "we want attention" photo. They didn't take into consideration the eagle-eyes of fans who noticed it was photoshopped. The giveaway? The wonky doorframe in the background.
Justin, Stick With Singing About Mistletoe
Technically, Justin Bieber didn't flat-out lie on social media. That being said, he definitely wanted his fans to think the jet was, in fact, a Christmas gift to himself. On Christmas 2014, the Biebs flew in a private just that he "got" for the holiday (because a jet is a normal gift to give oneself).
In his Instagram caption, he wrote, "New jet for Christmas, and she's beautiful." Fans thought that he was implying that he bought the jet when, in reality, he rented the G4 to fly from Canada to New York City. Sorry, Justin, maybe someone got you a plane this year for a wedding gift.
Queen B And The Royally Screwed Up Staircase
Even body empowerment advocates like Beyonce get trapped in the rabbit hole of Photoshop software. Time magazine has ranked the singer, songwriter, and actress as one of the top 100 most influential people, with Forbes calling her one of the main players in the entertainment industry. But even with all of the notoriety, Queen B couldn't stop herself from making a few photo touch-ups.
During her 33rd birthday, someone snapped a quick picture of her descending the stairs of a yacht. If you look between her legs, there is a very distorted staircase. It looks like the curvy singer wanted to see what she looked like with a thigh gap.
Khloé Kardashian Is Thankful For Sweet Lady Jane
Khloé Kardashian was "sooooo proud" of herself for, allegedly, baking a number of yummy Thanksgiving desserts. She uploaded a picture of various pies, monkey bread, and what seem to be un-frosted cupcakes. Too bad the treats weren't as picture-perfect as Khloé initially thought.
According to TMZ, the pies she had worked so hard on were actually from a Los Angeles bakery called Sweet Lady Jane. It looks like the only work this Kardashian put in was setting up the desserts on the counter and snapping some photos. She probably didn't even pick them up from the store! Maybe she'll impress us one Thanksgiving.
Oops, She Did It Again
It looks like there's a new celebrity chef in town, although we don't think she's going to be invited to guest star on MasterChef anytime soon. In January 2016, Britney Spears posted a picture of corn on her Instagram feed with the caption, "It's honestly too good to be true." Technically speaking, the international pop superstar wasn't lying.
Unfortunately for Britney, @MisterPreda called her out big time. He posted an identical picture of the corn that he found on recipe100.com. Turns of B-Spears found the photo and decided it would be easier to post that instead of trying to make the corn herself.
Looks Like Mama Jenner Doesn't Care For Wrinkles
It looks like Kris Jenner has something in common with her daughters, other than fake lips and botox, that is, some not-so-sneaky Photoshop skills. The thing with this picture is that it would have been fine, had Gordon Ramsay not posted the same picture to his Instagram!
Like many celebrities, Kris isn't a fan of wrinkles. While us normal folk see them as a sign of wisdom, experience, and growing up, Mama Jenner thought it best to remove them from her and Ramsay's faces. Too bad for her that the celebrity chef decided to post the same picture, wrinkles and all.
This Angel Is Lying Like The Devil
Miranda Kerr has been modeling since she was 13 years old. Her career took off when she became the first Australian Victoria's Secret model. Since then, she has been one of the highest-earning models in the industry. But with fame and success comes a lot of pressure, especially for a lingerie model.
A photo of Kerr and two of her fellow angels was posted by Vogue after the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The photo on the left shows Kerr's body as normal, while the right-side picture definitely has a slimming effect on the model's stomach. Kerr denied altering the picture, saying she found it online.
Did Anyone Else Know That Kim K Lost Her Arm?
Being someone with over 146 million followers, you would think that Kim would double-check her photos before posting them to social media. But there is a lot to be said about this photo in particular.
What looks like an attempt to make her waist slimmer and her hips wider, it looks like she erased her arm. The best part is that after she edited the picture she still uploaded it without thinking to put her arm back. No, Kim, it does not look like your arm is behind his back.
The Biebs Really Needs To Stop!
Similar and yet different from his Christmas jet fiasco, Justin outright claimed that the red Bugatti was his, writing, "Uncle Stunna luv. My first Bugatti #generosity." What would have been a ridiculously extravagant gift turned out to be a loaner from the rapper, Birdman.
We're not faulting Justin for wanting the car, though. Birdman's Bugatti is worth nearly two million dollars and is, obviously, very Instagram friendly. While the car won't be parked at Bieber's house anytime soon, Birdman said that he is more than welcome to borrow it whenever he is in Miami. Birdman obviously hasn't seen Justin's track record with cars.
Soulja Boy Lying About His Wealth
Soulja Boy, aka DeAndre Cortez Way, was one of the most popular rappers in 2009. And in 2010, Forbes named him the industry's highest-earning rappers (we're not sure how). At the time, social media was an up and coming thing for the internet. So why wouldn't the rapper want to show off his newfound wealth?
The "Crank That" rapper posted a picture of himself holding what looks to be almost 50 thousand dollars. But leave it to the internet to call out the rapper. The stacks were fake. People noticed that it was single $100s placed on top of stacks of white paper. The rapper deleted the post.
Kylie Jenner, The 21-Year Old Who Just Discovered Cereal
In September 2018, Kylie Jenner tweeted that she had just had cereal for the first time at the age of 21. Apparently, milk with dried grains was a life-changing experience for her. Too bad one of her followers decided to call her out on the post.
Joseph Shepard completely trolled Jenner, saying that she posted a bowl of cereal with milk on Instagram years prior. There's just so much to be said about this post. First off, who doesn't have cereal until they're 21? Also, why is she bragging about cereal, of all things?
Paris Hilton: Socialite, Heiress, And Inventor
History was made on November 19, 2006, when well-known socialite Paris Hilton, and pop sensation Britney Spears took a selfie. In a Twitter post, Hilton says, "11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!" Too bad there is a lot of photo evidence to contradict the statement.
It's likely that Hilton was just doing some playful tongue-in-cheek humor with the caption, but that doesn't make her claim anymore invalid. According to a New York Times article, the first selfie every taken with a camera dates back to 1839! It looks like Paris is a few years too late with her invention.
That Moment People Call You Out For Using A Google Image
Someone really needs to take Kim Kardashian's phone away because it doesn't seem like she can stay off of social media. Considering the number of followers the reality TV star has, she probably felt compelled to post the most beautiful picture she could find. Too bad the picture isn't all that it appears to be.
Followers most likely took to Google to further research Thailand. Unfortunately for Kim, a quick search will show that the picture is actually a preexisting image. With all the money this woman has, why not just take a quick trip to Thailand? Save yourself the embarrassment, Kim!
Lindsay Lohan And The Freaky Stairs
Although this isn't as bad a lie as pretending to own a jet, it's still not great. In an attempt to make her waist appear slimmer, LiLo resorted to a celeb favorite, Photoshop. Unfortunately, for the former teen star, the end result didn't come out as well as she probably thinks.
We suppose it's possible that the house just has a weird, wavy staircase, and Lindsay just happened to pose in front of it. But we think the more obvious reason for the wonky stairs in Lohan's armature Photoshop skills. Maybe next time she'll examine her work before she posts.
Khloé Kardashian Gets Some Love/Hate Responses
When fans realized Khloé Kardashian Photoshopped her leg in one of her Instagram posts, they were disappointed. Although the editing is subtle, unlike some of our celebrity editors, you can still tell the door frame next to her has a bit of a curve. After some fans called her out on it, something surprising happened.
Instead of roasting her, some fans were very supportive. One even commented on the picture, saying, "No need to Photoshop, you have an amazing body." That day, Khloé posted the original photo, saying, "If only hatin burned calories how dope yall would be. Too bad it doesn't. Here’s the OG shot."
Beyonce And The Return Of The Fake Thigh Gap
Aside from her killer pipes, Beyonce is praised for her womanly curves. Obviously, Mrs. Carter doesn't really care because she seems overly concerned about her thigh gap, or lack thereof, taking matters into her armature editing hands. And if you recall, this isn't the first time she tried her hand at Photoshop.
One fan called out Queen B, saying, "Jesus these ain't even her legs!! Photoshopping is getting absurd! Get real." It just goes to show that no matter how talented or famous you are, the unattainable beauty standards of society are still able to affect the way you see your body.
Diddy Just Out There Stealing Other Peoples Work
When someone becomes famous they should have to take a learning forum on how to properly post pictures on social media. Or just leave it to their public relations person. In Diddy's case, maybe just stay off altogether because there is no reason to post a picture of a solar eclipse that was taken by a professional photographer.
Once P. Diddy posted the picture, fans were quick to point out that an LA-based photographer, Cole Younger, had taken the photo. He had even posted it two weeks prior to Diddy. The famous rapper could have at least given the photographer some credit! Instead, he deleted the post.
Bella Thorne Was Faux About Her Jacket
All Television and film star Bella Thorne wanted to do was show off her new fashionista outfit. She posted the seemingly innocent photo on Instagram never expecting her fancy Alice + Olivia Jacket to be torn apart by her followers.
In her original post, Thorne says that the jacket was faux fur. Turns out that fans were a bit hesitant to believe her. And after doing a bit of research they discovered the jacket was made out of "genuine rabbit and arctic fox fur from China." Thorne returned the jacket, but the damage was already done and the lie was already public knowledge.
Bow Wow Isn't Flying Private Or First Class
Bow Wow (formally known as Lil' Bow Wow) definitely likes to brag about the high life -- Cash Money, anyone? While Bow Wow raps about living large and driving fast cars, he doesn't seem to have enough of that cash money to own or rent a private jet.
The rapper posted the left-hand photo with the caption, "Travel day. NYC press run for Growing Up Hip Hop. Lets gooo. I promise to bring yall the hottest show EVER." Too bad he's not stealthy. Bow Wow got caught in his lie when a fellow commercial passenger noticed him on the plane, the same day he made the post. Whoops.
Rita Ora Didn't Get 100,000 Re-Tweets So She "Got Hacked"
With three songs reaching the top position on the UK Singles Chart and 13 top ten songs in the United Kingdom, it's no wonder singer, songwriter Rita Ora felt quite highly of herself. It must have been shocking for her to see the conclusions that were made about her Halloween 2014 post.
Ora's original post, now deleted, said, "Dropping my new song monday if this get 100,000 retweets." She didn't get the retweets. Instead, she lied, saying her Twitter was hacked. Followers called her out, saying, "@RitaOra lol we all know you are just mad you didn't get 100,000 RT's Comon girl!!!" Maybe next time, Rita.
