Selena Gomez Releases New Song Seemingly About Justin Bieber

Not even marriage can stop people from talking about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together. The singer has released a new song off of her forthcoming album, which will be her first since 2015. The song is called "Lose You to Love Me" and many fans believe the lyrics are about her ex, Bieber.

The track dropped on October 23rd at midnight. Since its release, many are speculating about the lyrics being about their past, drama-filled relationship. Gomez sings about someone who "promised the world," but then "set fire to [her] forest."

"You promised the world and I fell for it / I put you first and you adored it / set fires to my forest / and you let it burn /sang off-key in my chorus / 'cause it wasn't yours" are some of the lyrics on the track.

The two stars dated on and off for almost a decade after first getting together in 2010. They even got back together briefly just before Bieber began his relationship with Baldwin. The lyrics to the song seem to reference their on and off again pattern with the line "we'd always go into it blindly ... this dance it was killing me softly."

In the second verse, it seems that Gomez even references Bieber's rebound and quick engagement to his now-wife Baldwin.

"In two months, you replaced us / like it was easy / made me think I deserved it / in the thick of healing, yeah," sings Gomez on the track.

Gomez wrapped up the heartbreaking ballad with a final farewell to Bieber, singing that their "chapter is closed."

Sorry Jelena fans, it's time to finally put this relationship to bed. He's married and she has clearly moved on.
