Harry Styles Finally Releases New Single

Harry Styles has finally blessed us with new music. It's his first release of new music since his debut album "Harry Styles" in 2017. On October 11th the former One Direction member released a new single and music video called "Lights Up."

Fans started to get excited about new music from the star after he sent out a cryptic tweet with just the word "Do" on October 5th. After that, mysterious posters started popping up around the world with the words "Do you know who you are?" on them, which turned out to be lyrics to the song. Harry Styles fans are basically FBI agents and figured out they had to do with him pretty quickly. The posters were connected to Styles thanks to the Columbia Records logo and the acronym TPWK, which is featured on Styles' merch and stands for Treat People With Kindness.

A music video was also released in accompaniment with the single. It was filmed earlier this year in Mexico and features a shirtless Styles happily dancing with various genders of people. It has a psychedelic feel similar to the song and seems to be about an emotional struggle. The lyrics also seem to focus on some sort of self-discovery, asking "do you know who you are?"

Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, who previously worked on his debut album, helped co-write and produce "Lights Up" with Styles. The song is expected to be off of his forthcoming sophomore album, which is yet to get a release date or a name.

In a September interview with Rolling Stone, he described the record as "all about having sex and feeling sad." Hopefully, he doesn't leave us waiting for the new album for too long.
