A Justin Timberlake And Lizzo Collab Is On The Way

A pop veteran and an up and coming pop powerhouse have a collaboration in the works. Justin Timberlake and Lizzo first met at the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony in June 2019 and have since headed to the studio together.

When Timberlake first asked the "Truth Hurts" singer to head to the studio together, she didn't believe him.

"I was like, 'I'm such a fan if you ever want to write,' and she thought I was lying," Timberlake told Entertainment Tonight. "And we got in and we got a couple of ideas - I don't know when they're gonna come out but they're pretty good."

Timberlake recently admitted he wanted to record with some "young, fresh people" who he thinks are "truly amazing." He considers Lizzo to be one of those artists. It sounds like Timberlake has the right idea since everything Lizzo seems to touch turns to gold. She's been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her smash hit "Truth Hurts" for a record-breaking six weeks in a row.

Timberlake may be a legend in the pop music industry, but he has to find new ways to be relevant in today's music industry and Lizzo is the perfect way to do it.
