Tom Hanks to Be Honored At 2020 Golden Globes

Tom Hanks is a legend in Hollywood and at next year's Golden Globes he'll be recognized for his many talents. The actor will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2020 Golden Globes.

"For more than three decades, he's captivated audiences with rich and playful characters that we’ve grown to love and admire," said Lorenzo Soria, Hollywood Foreign Press Association president. "As compelling as he is on the silver screen, he’s equally so behind the camera as a writer, producer, and director."

Past recipients of the award include Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Martin Scorsese, and Oprah Winfrey.

Over his amazing career, Hanks has won two best actor Oscars for the movies Forrest Gump and Philadelphia. He's also won four Golden Globes and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

You can see Hanks on the screen next when he portrays TV personality Fred Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. The movie is out November 22 and is expected to be a fixture during the upcoming award show season.
