Chrissy Teigen Has HAD IT With Pizza Hut Closing Stores

Model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen is not happy about Pizza Hut closing over 500 stores.

"Long live the hut," tweeted Chrissy Teigen after learning that Pizza Hut will permanently dissolve hundreds of stores. "I love them because I like to see my toppings on top of the cheese," she praised.

"But also let's work on your sauces," she added.

According to USA Today, Pizza Hut's closings came about through its chief operating officer, David Gibbs, who runs the parent company Yum! Brands. Gibbs explained that several dine-in stores will be replaced with express eateries. "This will ultimately strengthen the Pizza Hut business in the U.S. and set it up for a faster long-term growth," he said.

That doesn't stop pizza fans from being as disappointed as Chrissy Teigen. "This is the kind of bipartisan message that'll heal this country," responded one of Chrissy's fans. Others disagreed. "It's terrible pizza," one person replied. "Support your local pizzeria."

Chrissy eventually followed up the tweet with a greater call to action. "We never support [a company] til it's gone," she wrote, "and quite frankly I'm TIRED OF IT."

Currently, there are over 7,000 Pizza Hut store locations in the US. So the damage isn't as severe as the 33-year-old model and author bemoaned.
