This series is wildly original and the cast of the show has been nominated for several awards. If you haven't seen the first two seasons, go watch them now before the new season drops on August 9th.
Something's Gotta Give
Something's Gotta Give is a movie that's filled with acting legends. This film stars Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton as lovers who find each other later in life. Keanu Reeves, Amanda Peet, Frances McDormand, Paul Michael Glaser, Jon Favreau, and KaDee Strickland all play supporting roles.
This film was a critical and commercial success, and both Nicholson and Keaton were nominated for multiple awards for their acting in this movie. Something's Gotta Give will be available on Netflix on August 1st.
Now And Then
Now and Then is a classic '90s coming of age drama film. It stars Christina Ricci, Rosie O'Donnell, Thora Birch, Melanie Griffith, Gaby Hoffmann, Demi Moore, Ashleigh Aston Moore, and Rita Wilson. That's right, that's Gaby Hoffman in the middle there, of Transparent and Girls fame.
If you missed this movie when it first came out (maybe because you weren't born yet) definitely catch it when it comes out on Netflix on August 1st.
Jane The Virgin: Season 5
If you haven't heard of Jane the Virgin by now, you've probably been living under a rock. This television series premiered in 2014 on the CW network, and Netflix included seasons 3 and 4 of the show on their streaming service.
The fifth and final season of the show premiered on CW in March of 2019, but now you can binge the whole season on Netflix. Jane the Virgin: Season 5 will be available as of August 8th.
All Of The Rocky Movies
On August 1st, all of the Rocky movies will be available on Netflix. The first film in the series, Rocky, came out in 1976, and Rocky V came out in 1990. The movies tell the classic tale of a down and out boxer who faces off against a heavyweight champion. He proves himself in the ring time and time again. It's a story about redemption and the power of dedication.
If you've already seen all of the Rocky movies, watch them again. The first one was so good, they made four more.
Dear White People, Volume 3
This Netflix original series is based on a movie of the same name that came out in 2014. The series follows a bunch of African American students at an Ivy League university as they navigate the world and deal with modern American race relations.
Dear White People provides some much needed social commentary on our current political climate, but it does so in a way that's digestible, understandable, and hilarious. The third season will be available on Netflix on August 2nd.
The House Bunny
Back in 2008, one of the funniest ladies in Hollywood, Ms. Anna Faris, made a little movie called The House Bunny. In this film, Faris stars as Shelly, an ex-Playboy Bunny who finds herself working as a house mother for a misfit sorority.
This movie is fun for the whole family, and its cast is full of funny women including Kat Dennings, Katherine McFee, and Emma Stone. The House Bunny will be available on Netflix on August 1st.
Four Weddings And A Funeral
The classic '90s British rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral will be available on Netflix on August 1st. This film stars Hugh Grant as Charles, a single man in love with a woman who he just keeps running into. Andie MacDowell co-stars as Carrie, the woman who Charles just can't seem to avoid.
This movie has everything you'd want in a rom-com and then some. When has a movie with Hugh Grant in it ever led us astray?
Sex And The City: The Movie
Sex and the City first premiered on HBO in 1998. This series had a lasting effect on the restrictions of television. It was raunchy, it was real, and people loved it. The series ran until 2004, and in 2008, Sex and the City: The Movie was released.
In this film Carrie prepares to walk down the aisle with her longtime lover, Mr. Big. Just when she's about to leave that single girl life behind, a huge misunderstanding leads to disaster.
Groundhog Day
Netflix is really spoiling us with all of these amazing '90s movies. Groundhog Day is a fixture in modern comedy. It stars Bill Murray as Phil Connors, a TV weatherman who finds himself living the same day over and over again.
This movie was so successful that the term "Groundhog Day" is now used to describe a kind of monotony or déja vu. Groundhog Day will be available to watch on Netflix on August 1st.
Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready
Tiffany Haddish is the breakout star of the hit movie Girls Trip. She's been in the comedy scene for a long time, though. On August 13th, Netflix will launch Tiffany Haddish presents: They Ready, a comedy showcase hosted by miss Haddish herself.
Tiffany will present six of her favorite comedians: Chaunté Wayans (Wild n' Out), April Macie (Last Comic Standing), Tracey Ashley (The Last O.G.), Aida Rodriguez (Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar), Flame Monroe (Def Comedy Jam) and Marlo Williams.
Gangs Of New York
Gangs of New York has all of the hallmarks of a great film. It's directed by Martin Scorsese and it stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Cameron Diaz. Scorsese spent twenty years developing this project, and in 2002, it finally came out. You can catch it on Netflix on August 20th.
Gangs of New York was nominated for ten Academy Awards, and Daniel Day-Lewis won a BAFTA for his work in this movie. Check this film out if you want to watch Daniel Day-Lewis do what he does best: completely transform into a character.

The first season of this show will be available on Netflix on August 9th.
Diagnosis
For all of you medical documentary junkies out there, Diagnosis follows patients with mysterious illnesses on their journeys to find diagnoses, and potentially, cures. The film is based on Dr. Lisa Sanders' popular column in The New York Times Magazine.

There is so much healing to be had in connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences. Diagnosis premiers on Netflix on August 16.
Horns
Horns is possibly the weirdest Daniel Radcliffe movie in existence, and that's saying a lot considering he played a farting corpse in Swiss Army Man. Radcliffe plays a man who's accused of assaulting and killing his girlfriend, but then he uses his newly developed paranormal abilities to find the real murderer.
Juno Temple plays Merrin Williams, Radcliffe's character's late girlfriend. Yes, Daniel Radcliffe does actually have horns in this movie. You can see this film on Netflix on August 1st.
Jupiter Ascending
Jupiter Ascending is a 2015 space opera film. It stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean, and Eddie Redmayne. Kunis plays Jupiter Jones, a woman who learns that her destiny lies beyond the realm of this planet we call Earth. This film is basically The Matrix meets Star Wars.
If you didn't see this movie when it came out in theaters back in 2015, you can catch it on Netflix on August 1st. Get ready for some space drama.
