Chastain began secretly dating Italian count Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, a fashion brand executive, in 2012. Five years later, the pair married in an ultra-private event in Italy in 2017. The wedding occurred just a few months after Chastain's 40th birthday.

The redheaded actress has always kept her lips sealed when it comes to her love life. She never attend red carpet events with her partner and the two rarely go on public dates. Instead, they stay in at his vast Italian estate.
