The Best Halloween Celebration of 2018: Suwannee Hulaween

While most of the country prepped for Halloween by carving pumpkins, some had a special way to celebrate the holiday — Florida’s most decorated independent music festival, Suwannee Hulaween. If you weren’t able to attend Suwannee Hulaween, then you majorly missed out… because it proved to be one of the best Halloween celebrations of 2018!  The massive jamboree took place in the breathtakingly beautiful environs of the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida (an enchanted patch of northern Florida just an hour outside Tallahassee) and this year reached the highest and most exalted heights in its glorious six-year run!  It was a weekend filled with magnificent music, mind-boggling art installations, awesome sound and lighting crews for the five stages, and responsive staff — with wonderful costumes and cooperative weather enhancing the vibe.

The festival went all-in on delivering one of its most diversified lineups to date, including ODESZA, Jamiroquai, and Janelle Monae… in addition to three nights of The String Cheese Incident.  This was a pure example of some of live and electronic music’s most revered talent, with a focus on defying genre boundaries and attracting all tastes. The North Florida woods truly came alive this year and captivated the minds and hearts of those who enter.  The beauty of this festival comes with the combination of art and music together and it has grown from a friends and family campout to one of the alternative festival scene’s most joyous reunions. Needless to say, all attendees thouroughly enjoyed the forest and the dazzling array of colors, art installments, and members new and old of the Suwannee family.  For More Information, please visit:
