10th Anniversary of Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival
One of my most favorite festivals on the summer hands down was Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival… and this year it was they celebrated their 10th anniversary! Outside Lands is held annually in San Francisco, California, at Golden Gate Park. The event was filled with more awesome acts, food, beer, wine, art, and comedy than ever before. There were dozens of bands and attractions… from singer-songwriters to DJs, jazz acts and cutting edge rock bands, all major music movements are celebrated alongside a host of local musicians, food vendors and visual artists representing San Francisco’s vibrant cultural community.
The festival was headlined by The Who, Metallica and Gorillaz. Lorde, Fleet Foxes, Queens of the Stone Age, alt-J, Solange, A Tribe Called Quest, Little Dragon, Belle and Sebastian, The Avett Brothers, Above & Beyond, Tove Lo, Action Bronson and Thundercat joined the headliners at the top of this year’s lineup.
This green-conscious event directly benefits the San Franscisco Recreation & Park Department with a special annual donation. The Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival is becoming one of the ultimate summer destinations for live music, food and wine fans, and the fact that it will take place in the great city of San Francisco ensures an unparalleled entertainment experience.
