EXCLUSIVE: The Beautiful Ghosts Premiere New Track, “Atomic Disco”
Ottawa alt-pop trio, The Beautiful Ghosts – comprised of Butch Gerald, Catherine Sugrue and Alisha Everett – all met serendipitously when they kept running into each other at their local record store. They then decided to form a band, curious to see what they could drum up together. Turns out, it was meant to be.
The band is set to release their self-titled debut album this month and lead single, “Atomic Disco” – which we are honored to premiere today – just might as well be the name of their genre classification as it blends 80’s synthpop sensibilities with their own brand of indie and alternative. Look for their upcoming self-titled debut on August 25!
“‘Atomic Disco’ explores the innocence of past decades and how the contemporary generation seeks a connection to the simplicity of those times, only to become slaves to new mediums,” shared Gerald.
