If you haven’t heard of Twenty One Pilots by now, you’re probably living under a rock with no WiFi. The lovable Columbus, OH duo – comprised of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun – have a big month coming up with the Grammys along with their Emotional Roadshow world tour wrapping up this year. If you’re not acquainted with the duo, now’s your chance to fall in love with them with these fun facts we discovered.

Their band name came from a play Tyler was studying in theatre class titled All My Sons by Arthur Miller.

They owe all of their success to the power of word of mouth as they had zero connections in the music industry back in their hometown of Columbus, OH.

“Car Radio” was inspired by Tyler getting his GPS and car radio stolen.

The two men on the cover of Vessel are the duo’s grandfathers.

The band originally formed in 2009 with Tyler and two other members. It wasn’t until 2011 when Josh came into the picture.

Their band logo has a special meaning that Tyler holds close to his heart which he never plans on revealing, sadly.

Tyler released a solo EP back in high school of Christmas songs titled, No Phun Intended.

Tyler created the character of Blurryface to address his own insecurities.
