#FBF 12 Songs From The ’90s That Never Get Old

The ‘90s was a decade of musical transitions. We went from grunge rock to alt rock to killer hip hop to sugary sweet boy bands and girl groups. Overall, it was a pretty solid era. Sure, there were random hit songs (I’m looking at you, Macarena) and fashion choices (why were the jeans so low-rise and the flares so flared towards the end of that decade?) but there are some tunes that will live on with positivity forever. On this #FBF, here are 12 songs from the ’90s that will never, ever get old:

Britney Spears ‘Baby One More Time” – Classic Brit Brit will NEVER get old.

Lauryn Hill “Doo Wop (That Thing)” – It’s catchy and it’s sound life advice.

Oasis “Wonderwall” – I think today is gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to you.

Nirvana “Smells Like Teen Spirit” – Sweet, sweet Kurt Cobain. You know you’re an ’80s baby if you cried when you found out he died.

Fugees “Killing Me Softly” – Again, Lauryn Hill just crushes these vocals.

Spice Girls “Wannabe” – Spice Girls first major hit stands the test of time.

Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” – Prequel to Lemonade. That’s all I’m saying.

No Doubt “Don’t Speak” – I think I can speak for anyone who watched MTV during this era when I say you probably know this video frame by frame.

Weezer “Buddy Holly” – Rivers Cuomo was a ’90s dreamboat!

Third Eye Blind “Semi-Charmed Life”- All I’m going to say is… doo doo doo / doo doo doo doo

The Verve “Bittersweet Symphony” – Sure the songwriters got sued, but hot damn this song rules. Also, it totally made the ending of Cruel Intentions cinema perfection.

Daft Punk “Da Funk” – This band inspired a lot of bummer EDM, but this song rules pretty hard.
