On-The-Go Snacks For Hangry People
We’ve all be there before. You’re busy, out + about, or at work/school when that aggressive state of hunger hits. You start to get cranky and turn into quite the jerk, because you can’t think about anything but food. Well, instead of withering away, do what I do, and keep healthy snacks stashed in your bag or purse, so no one has to witness your vicious, hanrgy-side.
Of course, you need things that are small, lightweight, and delicious. Here are my top picks for the best on-the-go snacks–don’t worry, you won’t find any of those nasty rice cakes here!
These bars pack a ton of protein (20 grams) for a guilt-free bar! They’re all gluten-free and contain 0 grams of sugar. These bars keep me full for 3-4 hours! They have flavors like Chocolate Espresso, Cookies + Creme, and Caramel Fudge. My favorite flavor is the Chunky Peanut Butter–it tastes like thicker, chunky Reese cup!
This company might be known for their nutrient-dense baby food, but now they’re being recognized for their delicious adult pouches! I absolutely LOVE this company and their products these because they taste amazing and they’re travel-ready. All Plum products are made with pureed organic vegetables and fruit, unsweetened, unsalted, free of GMOs and artificial ingredients, and yet, the Plum Vida pouches are specifically made for adults! But let’s be honest. I eat the baby pouches too, because they’re just as delicious and not only for little ones. My favorite flavors are the Pear Kale Spinach Celery, and the Blueberry Parsnip & Buckwheat.
This company makes most delicious bars, crackers, waffles, and cereals ever. The best part: they’re 100% gluten-free! Their bars and crackers are the perfect snacks to keep in your car or purse for when a hunger craving strikes. Their PB+J Bars taste just like the sandwiches we all grew up on and are convenient to take anywhere! Their Crackers are ridiculously good. I keep them in a zip lock bag on trips, or in my car if I’m out and about.
Another great snack bar that I bring with me in my purse or luggage are the Coconut chia bars. Chia seeds are packed with omega-3’s, fiber, protein, calcium, and antioxidants! The first time I tried one of these bars, I thought there was no way I would get full, since the bars are smaller. But I was SO wrong–the chia swells up leaving you fuller than most snack bars! They have so many flavors to choose from, like Banana Nut, Apple Cinnamon, Coffee, and Açai Berry!
