Music Videos That Inspire

I’m absolutely loving the music videos that have been coming out lately and wanted to share some of my favorites with you lovely people. These are the kind of music videos that inspire me in my film career and my way of thinking. They are all so original and creative and ,of course, they make you want to dance!

“Grown Woman” – Beyoncé

I have been obsessed with this song for forever so I was so stoked for the music video and it didn’t disappoint. It amazed me that they were able to make mini Bey sing. The effects were incredible and so was the dancing, of course. The alternative video is even more incredible!

“Fancy” – Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX

This video is flawless! Iggy Azalea enters the world of Clueless and she works it as Cher! I love it when a music video takes something from TV or movies and puts a creative spin on it.

“Happy” – Pharrell Williams

This song just makes me happy. It’s cool how this video is just of people dancing to the song, but seeing their happy dance makes you want to do a happy dance. This is also the first 24 hour music video which is amazing!

“F For You” – Disclosure ft. Mary J. Blige

This video has a really effective way of using visual effects to accompany an upbeat dance song. It’s a simple concept, but it still makes you want to get down. I can totally see this being played on a big screen at parties and clubs.

“Papaoutai” – Stromae

While this song is in french, this video still has a great way of telling the story. I don’t need to understand the words to know whats going on. They storytelling, production design and dance sequences are what make the video. This is definitely my favorite music video right now. It’s such a great song and I almost got the whole thing memorized!
