Self-Harm Is NOT Your FRIEND!!!

“I used to hated myself. I used to think that I was fat, ugly and no one would ever love me. I felt like everyone was always stick thin and extremely beautiful. I always sold myself short.” via Reach Out.com

Yeah, I know these feelings. I had the same like this person, probably you too. When we are in troubles and no one is around us, we can to do stupid things, bad for our healthy or even dangarous for life. But we must to know that hurt body and soul is not escape from the pain and problems, just it makes more and more worries.

I read a lot about today’s world and I see that during last years community changed point of view about autoimmunity. Unfortunately it’s not better. I’m worried about kids because for them self-harm, eating disorders are something like a “swag”. Really, it drives me to crazy. It seriously problem, but for the part of the people not. They think that’s idea to stay popular. I hate when people say about it in this way.

MENTAL ILLNES ARE NOT A JOKE!!!

“People who harm themselves are not stupid. They’re not selfish or insane or attention-seekers. They are people who take things out on their bodies, rather than sounding off about things as other people might. Self-harm’s not about trying to kill yourself, although those who do self-harm are significantly more at risk of suicide than the average person. Often people who self-harm do not really have a secure sense of self in the first place. Harming your body can be a way of dealing with frustration and destructive feelings but also of breaking through a feeling of being emotionally dead. It is not just a destructive act but can actually bring relief from mental torment. This shows how bad people can feel mentally if harming themselves physically (often by cutting) feels better. Self-harm can go on for years before people finally look for help. The sooner you can seek help the better.”- via thecalmzone.net

Also, I’m sad because often society don’t care about teenagers. Right now they are obliged to have like the best grades and to be perfect. But NO ONE IS PERFECT!!! Everyone has better and worse time. I believe that we must to have more underdstanding for kids. Always we will be young and we must share love and support to them.

I had problem with “it” too. I felt alone and unwanted. I thought that no one likes me. You know I was too stupid to be liked. I hated myself, more than hated. I believe that it was the worse time in my life. I tried and it was addicted but I was afraid of the pain, and I didn’t want to die. It was mine problem too. I think that right now I’m not able to say more about it but with the time I’ll share with you, maybe it will can help someone. And this is the reason why I create art, I want to change the life person who struggle with their own enemy. I’m always for them.

When you see sign of self-harm, please don’t let your friend/close person does it. This person can’t be alone. And don’t scream!!! Respect and love it’s so needed when someone struggle with this problem.

“Let’s just call me As. I am 17 and in some ways like you. I have been “clean” from cutting for a year (after a 4 year battle), and I struggle with my eating habits. I am still an everyday girl who loves the world and knows I am here. I made it. My parents divorced when I was 12, and I began cutting shortly after. I was 16 when I stopped. I smoked when I was 15 and also started drinking. I struggled greatly with eating. Mainly my friends helped me get through everything. I found myself writing and drawing a lot whenever I felt like freaking out. A good book can take you away from the world too. All I want is for someone to understand that no matter how bad or how hard life is (or seems), it always gets better. Just remember everyone struggles in life. Someone has been through it, and someone wants to help. “ via Reach Out.com
