Animals’ Oscar Winning Performance Of “Play Dead”

Dead animals have never been so cute! OK, thankfully these guys aren’t actually dead, but with their oscar winning performances, they could have fooled me. Since my dog will only go so far as to learn “sit”, it always amazes me when I see all of these crazy tricks that animals can do. Bears can be taught to ride a bike? Say what now? Cats can be taught to use the toilet? Or wait, is that just in the movies? Anyways, these amazingly adorable animals have all mastered the hilariously cute trick of “play dead”. With the Academy Awards coming up, why not give out some awards?

We start off strong with Darnell the dog who had great execution in his technique. 4 Oscars out of 5 for this guy! I wish I could have seen just a bit more struggle in his eyes.

Next up is Bernice the bunny. I’m giving Bernice 2 out of 5 Oscars for this performance. She was adorable and got the job done, but I think she could have been more clear on her cause of death. There’s always next year, Bernice!

Here is Carl the cat with his 3 Oscar performace of “Bang. I’m dead. Now where is my catnip.”

Brian the bird gets 4 Oscars for his performance! The ending was a nice touch!

Harold the hamster’s performance moved me to tears! 4 Oscars for Harold! You go, Harold!

Olive the otter’s heart was claerly in her performace. For that, she gets 3 Oscars!

Clearly, Perry the pug is using his cuteness for an unfair advantage! 2 Oscars for Perry!

I think Cathy the cat may have just fallen asleep… 1 Oscar

Dorris the dog clearly takes direction well. 3 well-deserved Oscars for Dorris.

This dog has got the right idea! Amazing! 5 Academy Awards!!

I can’t wait for next year when they tackle the incredible trick of “Find me a boyfriend”!
