Question Of The Day: Does Your Family Have Any Unique Holiday Traditions?

Most of us celebrate the holidays. Whether it’s Christmas or Chanukah or Kwanzaa or whatever else, we all celebrate something towards the end of the year.

The purr-fect gift

If it were up to me, I wouldn’t do anything for Christmas. I am a heathen and I don’t believe in any of that baby Jebus stuff so I really don’t see the point to participating. I told this once to my family and they lost their minds.

I was giving them the gift of honesty and they got mad at me. Oh well. I will play their Secret Santa game if it will please them. I just like hanging out with my family and having Irish Coffee with my mom on Christmas Eve. Party!

I suppose that is better than reading passages from the Bible at 12 midnight. Our step mom used to wake us up during that weird transition from Christmas Eve to Christmas and make us read things from the Bible by candle light. Who does that? Oh I know, NO ONE.

Anyway, that’s pretty much the only stuff I’ve ever done for Christmas. For me, it’s mostly about hanging with my kin and just enjoying myself. No matter what the tradition is, I can always have a good time around my family.
