Christmas Movie Favorites

Forget Thanksgiving, I’m in Christmas mode as soon as Halloween is over! It all starts with the Christmas movies. They always set the mood and can cure near anything, including finals/midterms blues. These are my favorite Christmas movies that will forever put me in the holiday spirit and bring me back to the feeling of 5 year old Bianca who just go the Barbie Shopping Cash Register, complete with credit cards.

1. Love Actually

This is a movie about several different love stories that some how connect with each other and how they play out. This scene is my particular favorite part of the movie, but I love how the movie shows a variety of love stories during the Christmas season. You win some, you lose some and sometimes you get that fairytale ending.

2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

I love the live-action version because Jim Carrey is just so funny and I love going into the world of Whoville. Everything just seems so vibrant and real and it’s a town that basically lives for Christmas. If I could, I would run away to Whoville. This was when Taylor Momsen was adorable and wasn’t yet fighting to be the next queen bee.

3. The Polar Express

I love The Polar Express because it’s all about believing and friendship and feelings and life lessons and Tom Hanks and cherishing your childhood and advantures and Tom Hanks. Yeah.

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas

I think this is pretty self-explanatory. Classic. Halloween + Christmas + Tim Burton = Greatness

5. Elf

I can quote this movie for days!. It’s basically my Christmas Mean Girls.

“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.”

“I’m a cotton-headed ninny-muggins.”

“You sit on a throne of lies!”

The list goes on.

6. The Santa Clause Trilogy

So this Christmas, I’m going to hide out on my roof so I can push Santa off and become the first female Santa Claus. #BiancaForSantaClaus2014

7. This Christmas

I love how this is a movie about family and sticking together no matter what. Also, Chris Brown sings. That voice.

8. Jack Frost

This movie is about a boy who loses his father in a car accident, but then his dad comes back as Jack Frost. So many feelings and emotions. This clip is in Italian, but it doesn’t matter.

9. Rise of The Guardians

Another film about believing and coming together and adventure. Everything is super cute and funny and I wuv it.

10. Edward Scissorhands

Another Tim Burton classic! It’s a story about love and family in its own twisted and wonderful way.
