Dear 2013, I’m Thankful For…

It feels like it was last week that I was writting a thankful blog for Thanksgiving 2012. Am I the only person who thinks this year has just zoomed past me like a Nascar driver? All throughout this year I have been writting in a journal I carry with me about all the little and big moments I’m thankful. Which is great because it’s happening year round and I feel like you should be thankful for everything in your life. 2013 was incredible and filled with really high moments and really low moments. New hair color, new state i’m living in, new job, new friends, and so much more. So here are 5 things I’m thankful and will be celebrating around the tabel with turkey and stuffing…drooling.

Warped Tour (Can I Get An Amen?): I can’t believe I got to cross off touring with Vans Warped Tour on my bucket list. Last year I was covering and interviewing the tour for BUZZNET and this year I’m on it, WHAT? I feel like I learned so much from the people I was surronded around and also about myself. I will never take for granted sweating in the heat, peace tea, Kia, dancing to Wallpaper and so much more. I’m thankful I could make my dream a reality and hope to be back out next year! Fall in love with your job and not boys 😉

Music Chats (Yep, It Makes The List Again): This year has been an emotional roller coaster ride with this topic. You might of notice I don’t interview for BUZZNET anymore which is sad, because that’s how I’m known on here and by a lot of people. I miss doing interviews on my page (maybe next year we can start it back up). With that, the lovely folks over on Stage Right Secrets picked me up and asked me to start interviewing for them. I’m incredibly thankful to continue to be able to do what i love and what people know me as, the funny, spunky interviewer who gets the exclusive from your favorite bands.

BUZZNET: Gosh, I love you guys. This year I tried to mix up my blog selections and get more personal since I wasn’t interviewing. I wrote a ton about my life and the heart breaks that happened. The good, the bad and the ugly as I call it. The support I got from them made me so full and warm inside because I got so many emails, texts and tweets and messages about how much you relate. Yes, I give my email out, because I like talking with you guys. I feel like if one person can relate and see you’re going to be okay, then it’s perfectly fine to put all my business out in the open. This will always be my home and I can’t belive this little blog is turning 5 years old in 2014. WOW. So so so thankful for the chance to be a buzzmaker even though at times I may not get the same opportunities as the higher up and famous buzzmakers, I’m still so thankful that I’m supported by you guys. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Penny Lane: Almost Famous has become a huge part of my life and I’m being even in the same sentence as her by people is crazy. The hippie music lover band aid has taught me so much and has even inspired a bunch of blog post on here! Did you guys know that blogging about her and the movie has become a trend in the blogging world? I’m taking full credit for it (hahaha). I hope 2014 brings me lots of chances to rewatch the movie and continue to be inspired by Miss Penny Lane.

Family and Friends: What would I do without my support system? This year I’ve been working on staying in touch with people better and sometimes things fall apart and sometimes they fall into place. I always say “Even though you’re not friends, dating, boyfriend, or in touch with some people anymore, you should always support them”. I’ve continued to support those who have made a dramatic exit from my life (Hey, I see you and you remembered my birthday). I also can’t put into words how thankful I’am for the support that they give me and encourage me to go far in life. They always have my best foot forward in life and always looking out for me. UGH IT MAKES ME HAPPY.

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and be greatful for the little blessings as well as the little moments where you feel like your life is about to end. Your life won’t end because a boy broke up with you. Be thankful that you’re a much cooler person now.
