Girl Gone Grunge Style

So as I was browsing the Free People website, which I do more often that I should, I came across ‘Girl Gone Grunge’ style page. I absolute LOVE everything about this!!! One of the reasons I love Free People so much is because they do a great job of mixing edgy pieces into a very girly feminine style which isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Especially if you’re like me and usually don’t do a thing to your hair or wear very much makeup, sometimes dressing grungy can look sloppy and to boyish. But with these photos as a guide…. I think all of us can do ‘grunge’ right and still look pretty and girly at the same time!

I’ve noticed by flipping through this month’s fashion magazines that PLAID is going to be a huge asset to your wardrobe this fall. I’m obsessed with these plaid pants and love it paired with the leather motorcycle jacket, since plaid tends to lean toward ‘preppy’ the jacket balances it out. Also beanies are going to be everywhere, and nothing looks more rock and roll than a black beanie with tousled messy hair hanging down.

I love finding ways to still wear dresses in the Fall and Winter. The bulky cargo jacket over this flowy white dress is such a great contrast, and the long maxi is adorable paired with the combat boots and beanie!

I just LOVE statement pieces.Sequins are one of my favorite things ever for some reason, and I can’t get enough of these sequin pants paired with plain ole baggy t shirt! The grungy hair style is perfect with this too. Winter is good for at least one thing: COATS! Who doesn’t love a good winter coat?! This one is stunning layered over this dress and the combat boots kick the whole look up a notch.
