Ending our Bands To Buzz About segment for summer 2013 is Lorde. Hailing from New Zealand, 16 year-old Lorde has been proclaimed the world’s next Lily Allen and Lana Del Rey from music blogs due to her underground viral success and R&B chill vibe. Her songs “Royals” and “Tennis Court” have been blowing up around the world and her current EP, The Love Club, is doing significantly well on iTunes.
Lorde’s debut album, Pure Heroine, is set to drop in September.
