Cory Monteith: A Tribute

Yesterday morning, I woke up and turned my phone on. When I checked my Twitter feed, I saw Buzznet‘s tweet about Cory Monteith‘s passing and it completely threw me into shock. I couldn’t believe that the news was true. Even now, as I sit here and write this as the news reports on Cory’s death, I still can’t even believe that it even happened. Seeing that ‘1982-2013’ by his picture devastates me. He was so young, so talented and so beautiful. I used to get so happy watching him on Glee. He changed so many lives within his four year run on the show and it will never be the same without him.

In times like these, it’s best to just pray for his family and friends, and of course, Lea Michele. I cannot even imagine what she is going through right now. Let’s keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

When news broke this past March that Cory voluntarily checked himself into a rehab facility, my love for him grew. There is nothing more admirable than seeing somebody get help with whatever they may be going through. It is not a weakness, it is a sign of great strength.

These two songs kept running through my mind all through yesterday and today. Let’s all try to remember Cory for the beautiful person he was. His legacy in the Glee community will forever shine. Stay strong, Gleeks. ♥

R.I.P. beautiful boy ♥
