Anders Holm Of Workaholics Releases Comic Book

So excited to present this new comic book my very good friend and co-worker John Lawlor aka “Alter” just put out that he illustrated. He is super talented and congratulate him on this great piece. Thanks for letting me shoot these images of your new comic book!

Anders Holm (“Workaholics” and “The Mindy Project”) has teamed up with longtime friend and artist, John Lawlor in creating Echo Island, a comic book that will be making its debut in this year’s Comic Con in San Diego, CA. Anders, actor, writer and co-creator of “Workaholics,” penned the comic book and John, an artist, creative director for clothing label Young & Reckless, created all the illustrations.

Anders and John met at summer camp and grew up together in Evanston, Illinois. After summers of being smart-ass campers they became dumb-ass counselors. They told ghost stories and were best known for nearly being fired because one of their campers shit their pants.

Echo Island takes place in 1995 The year is 1995 and twelve year-old Reggie Robbin’s is going to sleep-away camp for the first time. He’s homesick, he’s getting picked on, and his camp crush barely knows he exists. As he stumbles to figure out where he fits in at Echo Island Summer Camp there’s something else he needs to worry about… in the woods… watching… a man. Gaunt, tall, evil, sent here by the devil himself to kill until there’s no one left alive on Echo Island.
