Now On My Sh*t List: Taylor Swift Insults Amy Poehler and Tina Fey

Just a few months ago I was singing (screaming) every word to “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “Red” just like every other Taylor Swift lovin’, Jetta drivin’ twenty-something. I was a big fan, HUGE. I ignored the various stories regarding T.Swizzle as a Nashville harlot! I defended her honor! I even accepted her short-term romance with my very own Harry Styles.

But today news broke that T.Swift had some not-so-kind words for Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, also known as the planet’s reining goddesses of comedy. If you recall, while delivering their unbeatable monologue at the 2013 Golden Globes, the ladies begged Taylor to “stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son” (so awesome.)

In this month’s Vanity Fair, Swift responded by saying, “You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”

She also went on to say (*cough*lie*cough*) that, “If you want some big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people,” she said. “The fact that there are slide shows of a dozen guys that I either hugged on a red carpet or met for lunch or wrote a song with… it’s just kind of ridiculous.”

Case in point:

UPDATE:

AMY POEHLER RESPONDS!

She told The Hollywood Reporter: “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff. “

UPDATE 2:

TINA FEY RESPONDS!

“If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I did not see that one coming. It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke.”

“It was just a joke, and I think it was actually a very benign joke,” the 42-year-old told Us Weekly

Do you think T.Swift’s words were too harsh? Are you team Amy+Tina or Taylor all the way?
