Get To Know: Delphic

For the past year, Spotify has been my go-to program to find new music. I’ve found a band I think you guys are going to love, if you don’t love them already. I’m convinced that the best bands come from England. Let’s get to know Delphic.

Delphic are a four piece alternative/electronic band from Manchester, England. Formed in 2009, Delphic made a name for themselves with their This Momentary EP. They were one of the 15 shortlisted music acts for the BBC Sound of 2010. They placed third after Ellie Goulding and Marina and the Diamonds.

In 2010, they released their debut album, Acolyte, to rave reviews and some major commercial action. Their songs have been used in Samsung commercials and TV shows such as The CW hit 90210.

Delphic just released their sophomore album, Collections, which is a somewhat drastic change from their first release. One thing is for sure: progress suits them very well.

Check out the video to their current single, “Baiya,” below, along with a personal favorite of mine, “Clarion Call.”
