What Can We Expect Next From Cassadee Pope?

Cassadee Pope has been front and center in our eyes and ears for the past few months. With her tremendous run and triumphant win on NBC’s The Voice, Cassadee has made her dreams of becoming a solo recording artist come true. Now with a major label recording contract with Universal Republic (home of artist like Jessie J and Owl City) in hand, what can Cassadee expect next?

It seems we can anticipate to hear new music from the 23-year-old singer/songwriter sooner than later. Cassadee revealed in a recent interview with TVLINE that she is ready to “hit the ground running” with new music as soon as possible. Cassadee also revealed she wants to have a new single in our ears by mid-January and has plenty of original material she’s anxious to bring to her new production team. “I’ve been writing. I’ve always kept writing. There’s never been a moment where I went through a spell where I just don’t write.” And what about a full album? “I’m hoping to release an album in January or February.” This lady works fast!

There has also been a big debate on what kind of sound Cassadee will deliver with her newfound fan base in country music. Will our Warped Tour front woman head for the country hills? Don’t worry she plans to stick to her guts with the direction and sound. “I’ll experiment a little bit with my sound. But I want to do pop/rock, maybe even crossover into country just a little bit too because I know that’s more common now than it was before.”

So it seems if all goes well, we will have new original Cassadee Pope music in our iPods possibly by the end of the month. In the meantime her first solo self-titled EP is available as well as all of her covers from The Voice.

Can’t wait to hear what Cassadee has for us! #musicrules.
