Artist Spotlight – Ana Bagayan

Hello MoonChildren!

I recently discovered the most incredible artist Ana Bagayan! Her work is inspired by metaphysical- aliens, E.Ts, spirits, intergalactic space creatures. Basically anything that hints at the idea that we are just a small part of the vast universe. I love how her scenes merge reality with fantasy. She was born in the capital of Armenia and moved to the United States when she was six years old. Earlier in her career, she used a Blythe doll as a model. Now, she relies on a frighteningly realistic baby doll that she found at K-Mart for reference. Incredible! Ana’s work has been received internationally and has been featured in such publications as Rolling Stone, Spin, GQ and various others. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
