10 Questions With Devin K!
Hey fellow music Buzzers,
A friend of mine recently introduced me to a lovely musician named Devin K, I checked his music out and really enjoyed it! We decided to do an interview together so YOU all can get to know him too! BH: Describe yourself in 3 words!
DK: Crazy, Spontaneous, and Indescribable.
BH: When did you first find your love for music?
DK: I found my love for music in “Oldies” as a little kid. I don’t think that my parents knew how to function in their lives without Stevie Wonder, Al Green, The Beatles, or Michael Jackson blaring out of the record player at our house, or the radio in our very stylish soccer mom van. In a nutshell, I was blessedly cursed with my passion/addiction to music for as long as I can remember.
BH: What is your favorite song to perform live?
DK: “Back in the Day” is by far my favorite song to perform live. I have a different relationships with every song that I’ve written since they were all written at different times and places, but “Back in the Day” a song that I really decided to unbottle built up emotions towards the industry, people these days, and life in general. It is a song that I feel like needs to be listened to and not just heard.
BH: Biggest fear? Hidden talent?
DK: I am freaking scared to death of that little girl from The Ring. I DO NOT like the possibility of little dead zombie girls climbing through my tv screen. I do have one hidden talent. I can pretty much balance anything on my head for as long as i want (clearly with a weight limit). However, give been any sports ball, chair (again with a weight limit, dont give me a cement chair to prove me wrong), broom, pool cue etc….
BH: If you could create your dream tour, who else would be on it with you?
DK: If I got to create my dream tour it would without a doubt be with Justin Timberlake, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, and Maroon 5. They are all too inspiring to me to even describe.
BH: What is one song you heard this year you wish you wrote?
DK: I wish sooo much that I could have written “Gangnam Style”; however, I don’t speak, read, or write in Korean so I’m not beating myself up about it too much.
BH: What is your main goal for 2013?
DK: My main goal for 2013 is going to be very general. I WANT TO TAKE OVER!! I want the whole world to listen, love, and relate to me and my music!
BH: Most memorable fan experience?
DK: My most memorable fan experience and my 3rd item on my bucket list just happen to be one in the same!!! I signed my autograph on a Baby!!! Now before CPS reads this and has a dang heart attack, I’m gonna clarify that i signed the baby’s onezie, not face.
BH: Who is your celeb crush?
DK: Where would you take them on a date? My #1 celeb crush is without a doubt Sofia Vergara. She is a spicy angel, and for our first date I would definitely take her salsa dancing on the moon or something easy like that.
