British Invasion: Ed Tullett Signs To Equal Vision Records

Ed Tullett, a 19-year-old indie/folk artist hailing from England, is now a part of the Equal Vision Records family!

The singer-songwriter released his debut album Never Joy on Bandcamp last fall. There is no denying that Ed is a Bon Iver in the making. In August, Bon Iver held a contest called “Stem Project” and Ed’s remix of “Hinnom, TX” landed him a spot on Bon Iver’s remix album, exclusively available on Spotify.

Let’s not take away from Ed‘s own originality though. In partnership with MTV and HYPE Music, Ed’s Trawl EP will be released on Nov. 6! Until then, Trawl is being streamed over at Purevolume and Bandcamp.

His use of imagery is like a breath of fresh air. The word “trawl” means to “to search” and the EP has a clear sense of exploration. Ed’s lyrics are visually appealing, but what is he talking about? His biography on HYPE Music says, “I love writing cryptically, leaving my lyrics open to interpretation.” Luckily for us, Ed has shared his cryptic lyrics on Tumblr.

With his recent signing to Equal Vision Records, Ed’s debut full-length album, Never Joy, will be digitally released worldwide on Dec. 4!
