As of Tuesday, Blink-182 is officially an independent artist, according to a tweet sent out by Tom DeLonge.

People were unsure if Tom’s statement was true, but MTV was able to get in touch with Mark Hoppus, who confirmed the split from Intercope after the band’s 15-year relationship with Universal Music Group.

In the same MTV article, Mark said, “Now the future’s a wide-open door.”

According to Mark, Blink-182 will continue to work on new material and is excited to move foward with their independent status.
