Why Is Selena Gomez Headed Back To Waverly Place?
Her Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place wrapped in January, so why is Selena Gomez heading BACK to Waverly Place? While her boyfriend Justin Bieber is headed on tour, the 20-year-old Disney gal is revisiting her roots and will be reuniting with her castmates for a Wizards reunion movie! Sel is set to star and executive produce the project, which will reunite her old co-stars Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise, Gregg Sulkin and Maria Canals-Barrera.
Disney Channel‘s worldwide president Gary Marsh said:
“With the phenomenal ratings of the Wizards finale earlier this year, it became clear that fans of the series were not ready to say goodbye to Selena or the rest of the Wizards cast. As such, we’re thrilled that the cast has agreed to reunite to bring their fans one last grand adventure.”
Filming starts next month in Italy and is slated to hit the Disney Channel earlier next year!
