How Spending Alone Time With Yourself Benefits You and Your Health

This might sound weird, but I actually quite enjoy and savor the time I spend by myself. My whole life I have been some what of a introvert. If I am hanging out with friends, I can only tollerate spending time with them for a certiant amount of time. I have always found that having alone time is time for me to clear my head and relax. It’s also a time for me to spend doing what I enjoy. I have noticed that when I spend too much time with other people, I start to become very stressed and overwelmed. I like to spend time by myself because socializing with other people for an extented amount of time can make me very stressed. Socializing can be tiring! Don’t get me wrong, I love spening time with my family and friends, but people that are around me need to understand that I need my alone time every once and a while. It’s not that I don’t like that person or have anything against them. It’s just that’s the way I was made. I need to have time put aside each day for myself. When I have my alone time, I usually think about my life, the future, and things I would like to accomplish. It’s also a time for me to have deep thoughts. I have also found that spending time alone with myself builds up my self-esteem, because if I use that time to think about myself, it makes me feel much more confident. I also discover alot about myself when I spend time alone; what I like and dislike about life and things I need to change. I have always found the school year to be very stressful because I never have time alone.

I really enjoy school, but it becomes very stressful because I have to spend about ten hours of my day doing work at school and then I have to come home and do more homework. By the time I’m finished with my homework it’s time for me to go to sleep. I like just relaxing and having time to myself because I like having a slow paced lifestyle. Most of the time I hate having to do something every moment of the day. We sometimes don’t realize it but being stressed is really bad for our health and that’s why it’s important to stay relaxed. Spending too much time with people also changes my attitude after a certain amout of time. Like I said, I become very stressed when I spend too much time with people, so if I’m with someone for too long I sometimes start to have a mean attitude and I start to make that person seem unwanted without trying. That’s why I need alone time. I can have time to unwind and I will treat others with kindness.

When I go on trips with my friends or go to camps, sometimes it makes me stressed since I’m spending 24/7 with the same people. I don’t become stressed when I’m on trips because I’m too distracted having fun. Sometimes if I have had a long, busy day and someone invites me to do something, I turn them down. I just want to relax and spend time with myself. I really do enjoy spending time with my friends. There can also be such a thing as spending to much time by yourself, because after a while, it gets old and boring. You need to get out there and spend some time with your friends and family.

I hope that you take from this that you need to have time to yourselve every once and awhile, because it will benefit you and your health in the long run. We need to slow down our lives and think about ourselves and what’s best for us. I was made differently than you. Maybe you enjoy having a busy lifestyle. Just remember to stay relaxed and have a balanced lifestyle.
