Flashback Friday: 10 Girls Night Movies

Sometimes there’s nothing better than a good night – out or in – with the girls. With the new hilarious movie Bachelorette (not to be confused with the TV show!) out today, here are 10 flicks to get you in the mood for a girls night!

The Hot Chick

In a Freaky Friday-esque scenario, teen queen Jessica (Rachel McAdams) switches bodies with a gas station robber (Rob Schneider), proving that maybe being a guy isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. See ladies, it pays to be female!

Sex and the City: The Movie

No one does girls night better than the fabulous foursome Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). In the big screen version of their hit HBO show, the ladies don’t disappoint, whether it’s hanging out on a night in or going out on the town in New York AND Mexico!

The Sweetest Thing

Who says girls can’t be hilarious? In the ridiculously raunchy The Sweetest Thing, Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair show us how to be sidesplittingly funny all while keeping it girly.

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

A classic Lindsay Lohan movie (read: pre-Mean Girls era), Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is all about dramatic besties wanting to hang with their musical idol. The fun flick also stars a younger Megan Fox.

Sleepover

There’s nothing better than having a good old fashioned sleepover with your best girlfriends, noshing on junk food, gossiping about boys, doing makeovers on each other… or going out on a wild scavenger hunt! Alexa Vega and Sara Paxton play ex-BFFs who instigate the hunt and are up for some not-so-friendly competition.

Bridesmaids

A story about holding on to best friends, making a new friend and one crazy ride of a wedding, Bridesmaids is the ultimate girls movie! Dubbed the girl version of The Hangover, the flick has many “OMG-did-that-really-happen?!” moments, centers around the ideals of friendship, and has one very cute Irish policeman for your viewing pleasure.

Sex and the City 2

The ladies are back at it again – and this time they’re doing it in Abu Dhabi! Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda have grown up just a bit from the first movie, but they’ve still got the flair, fashion and fierceness about them and take it to the Middle East. Talk about one heck of a girls night out!

Confessions of a Shopaholic

One thing many ladies love to do is shop! Isla Fischer knows a thing or two about that, playing the very essence of a shopaholic in the film version of Sophie Kinsella‘s popular novel with the same name.

Because I Said So

As much as we love our mothers, we have to admit she can be overbearing at times – but maybe not as much as Mandy Moore‘s mom in this movie! In this female-friendly flick, Milly (Mandy) gets set up by her mom (Diane Keaton), who places an ad for a potential love interest for her daughter. In turn and without knowing, Milly finds her own date and begins to date both guys and fall deep for both. Yikes!

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

The ever-glamorous Kate Hudson shows the ladies just how it’s done by being her charming self as well as purposely trying to drive off the fellas – and still landing the guy (Matthew McConaughey)!
