What’s Your Favorite 80’s Album

Even though i didn’t grow up in the 80’s, the music from that era was still a huge part of my childhood. I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite 80’s albums that opened my eyes to music.

Jane’s Addicition-Nothing Shocking: Perry Farrell always makes me giddy inside. I remember the first time my dad played me “Jane Says”, i didn’t turn it off for weeks. “SummerTime Rolls” is my favorite song off that album.

Gun’s and Roses- Appetite for Destruction: This album brings me back to the days when i use to dance. I would warm up to “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Paradise City” and get weird looks from fellow dancers.

Prince-Purple Rain: I have my mom to thank for introducing me to Prince at an early age. Purple Rain is one of her favorite albums and mine to. I have fond memories of us singing “Baby I’m A Star” and “Let’s go crazy” together.

The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead:I know it’s over” is one song that i use to play religiously after a breakup. “Never had no one” is also another personal favorite off this album.

The Beastie Boys- Paul’s Boutique: Yes I’am a huge fan of the Beasite Boys. “Shake Your Rump”. I enterted into my elementary school talent show with “Hey Ladies”. My parents were so proud.

Aerosmith-Permanent Vaction: Steven Tyler is the only man i would ever pass out to, if i ever get to chat music with. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. “Rag Doll” “Angel” “Dude Looks Like A Lady”. Hit after Hit!

Foreigner 4- Foreigner is one band that i have to tell everyone to shutup whenever a song comes on. “Juke Box Hero”, “Waiting for a girl like you” “Night Life”. Most played songs on my itunes right now.

Def Leppard: I Can’t choose an album from them. I took my mom to see them in Vegas last year and i was the youngest person there. Shows how good of music taste i have. “Photograph” “Rock of Ages” “Pour some sugar on me”, ” Foolin”. Yeah i can compete with the best on this one.

Midnight Madness- Night Ranger: Two Words “Sister Christian” enough said.
