What’s On Your Sunday Schedule?

Sundays are by far, my favorite day of the week. I go out of my way to make sure my Sundays are well-planned serve two purposes:

1. Preparation & Planning for the Week

2. Fun

Friday nights are usually a wash. People are tired, cranky from work, and don’t want to do anything. Friday nights are often catch-up-on-tv nights or stay-in-and-drink-wine nights for most. Saturday is typically the day for fun. People spend their Saturdays at the beach, getting pretty, and partying at night. On Saturdays, I try to avoid doing any work (if I can). I like to run errands, lay out, eat with friends, and go out at night. But then comes our friend, Sunday. Sunday comes and people aren’t sure how to spend their time. Some want to drink all day. Some want to sleep all day. Some want to work all day.

Why Make a Sunday Schedule?

• Make sure you are using your time productively • Get in time for both fun and work • Track how you are spending your time. We have several hours in a day and enough to see friends and do thing for yourself. • Feel better Monday morning and more prepared and motivated to start week • Make sure you aren’t spending too much or too little time on anything that you shouldn’t be

My Sunday Schedule usually looks like this:

11:00 AM – Catch up on news articles I missed from last week (WORK)

12:30PM – Grab lunch at my favorite Sandwich spot alone or with friend (FUN)

2:00 PM – Lay out by pool

4:00PM – Go over emails from last week and do any planning for Monday meetings and assign my team tasks for the week.

6:30PM – Make a delicious dinner or BBQ

8:00PM – Make my schedule for Monday morning so I know exactly what I’m doing when I wake up.

9:00PM – Television Night & No More Work
