Summer Q & A With Audrey Kitching + Inspirations
Buzznet interviewed me about my Summer! Check out my favorite vacation spots, summer foods and style!

1. What’s your favorite summertime food? Watermelon, home made lemonade, grapefruit soda, blueberry smoothies, avocado toast, grilled veggie tacos and fresh fruit popsicles!
2. Any summer vacations planned? I actually JUST got back from Miami a few days ago. Miami is one of my favorite places to visit in the USA. It’s like a tropical little paradise and so many people speak different languages. I live in a bikini and eat island Caribbean/Cuban food all day on the white sand beaches. It’s the only place I don’t feel like a total nerd drinking out of pineapples and coconuts! I dream to have a place on the beach there one day.
3. Do you prefer summer or winter? Im a season baby. I love them all. Living in Hollywood for so many years made me miss seasons SO much. Now that I spend most of my time out in NYC I really enjoy the season change. I love the carefree attitude of summer but I love the cozy hibernation of Winter!
4. Would you rather play at the beach or lay by a pool? – The beach most days. Depends on my mood and what I have to do after. The ocean is so healing though the warm salt water is like heaven to me. I could stay in the ocean all day if the sun and my schedule allowed!
5. What’s your summer style? I have been pretty busy this summer with running, yoga, traveling, being on bus’s, trains and planes + full of work so lots of over sized tshirts, high waited shorts with crop tops, sun dress’s denim vests, spiked flats, ballet shoes, sunnies and too much jewelry!
6. Are you working on any projects summer?- YES! We are right now focusing on showcasing at WWD MAGIC in Vegas in August as well as opening our first LA showroom (I have one in Tokyo) I can not WAIT to design it. I have so many rad ideas in mind. Im also wrapping up my two books, shooting a sunglass campaign with the pair I designed, launching my PETA cruelty free makeup campaign and talks of a shoe collaboration. Not exactly the laid back running around NYC summer I imagined but I can’t complain 🙂
7. What’s on your summer 2012 playlist? Im loving Marina And The Diamonds + Lana Del Rey + Dum Dum Girls + Best Coast … Girl power! But can’t forget my favorites like Elvis, The Doors, Beach Boys and Ryan Adams!
8. Do you plan on seeing any new movies this summer? Im such a movie nerd… my favorite thing to do is hit up a local cinema and hid for a few hours and get emerged into a film! There are so many I want to see at the moment. I would go a few times a week if my schedule allowed me too! Recently saw Savages which was brilliantly casted, Moonrise Kingdom which hands down is one of my favorite new Wes Anderson films and last night I saw Spiderman… Hi, can we talk about how adorable Andrew garfield is?
