Yes, It’s True – Lana Del Rey Will Feature On Cheryl Cole’s New Album.

In what may be the weirdest collaboration news since Queen’s legendary Brian May featuring on the less-than-legendary N-Dubz member Dappy’s solo single, Cheryl Cole confirmed the rumours Lana Del Rey is to feature on her new album “A Million Lights”. Yes, really.

The collab was first rumoured in March but was ldismissed an internet nonsense by many due to the binary opposition of the axed-X Factor judge Cheryl (who’s now ditched her surname) with indie songstress Lana Del Rey however it’s been confirmed to be fact, not fiction, today.

Speaking to Capital FM this morning, Cheryl spoke about how she got to know Lana Del Rey stating that “I noticed Lana about a year ago. I was hearing these songs that were really fresh to my ear and amazing and I asked the guy who she was and he said, ‘Watch out for her, it’s a girl called Lana Del Rey’…It all happened really organically just like that”.

The original rumours of their collab stated that Lana had written an “urban, mid-tempo ballad” – nothing about the nature of the song has been confirmed or denied yet but this will certainly be interesting, whether it’s a career win or a musical sin.

What do you think of this unlikely pairing?
