Merthyr Rock Reveals Initial Line-Up Including Kids In Glass Houses, Razorlight, Deaf Havana

Just when you thought the UK’s festival calendar couldn’t get any busier, Wales’ Merthyr Rock announced it’s first few bands earlier today. If you still haven’t found your perfect British festival to head to, this line-up may sway you to spend your late Summer weekend in Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr. The first acts to be announced are headliners Kids In Glass Houses and Razorlight alongside Deaf Havana, Saves The Day, Yashin and Arcane Roots with many more expected to be announced across the 3-day festival.

The rock and indie festival may only be in its second year but this won’t be the first time that Welsh band Kids In Glass Houses have been involved. Lead vocalist Aled Phillips spoke about how “We curated a stage at Merthyr Rock last year and spent the day at the festival having a great time. Now this year we’re honoured to be playing what is set to be a fantastic weekend”.

Earlybird tickets for the festival are now available for £55 (details on day tickets expected to be released later). There’s no camping on-site however so it’s up to you whether you want to go glamping in a hotel, stay on the sofa of friends and family or set up your tent in a near-by field (Grawen Farm) for £15.
