Yellowcard’s Ryan Key Shares Album Update

Yellowcard have revealed they have a busy 2012 ahead of them with plans to be on the Vans Warped Tour and are in the process of recording a new album. According to an interview with Alternative Press, Yelllowcard’s new record should be finished before the boys head out on the summer long punk rock tour — and they are working hard to meet that deadline.

Ryan Key sat down with the alternative site to talk about the progress of the album and what has sparked motivation for the new material. Keys told the site, “The biggest thing about this record, and these songs. Is they’re really inspired. I feel confident saying that because this is the first time I’ve ever gone into a recording process—day one of a recording process—with all the lyrics and melodies for a record finished.”

Impressive.

The interview goes into some personal issues including Key’s admittance to anxiety and the fear that the album would fall flat and lack a message. From what Keys shares, his fears are unfounded and we have a lot to look forward to in this new release.
