First off tell us how you were “discovered” and how your modeling career all started?
This guy David Mushegain found me and took my pictures…he started texting my pictures to people and img was one of the agencies that was interested so we flew out to new york with my boyfriend and thats how everything started.. it was pretty surreal.. What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?I dream about the rainforest and the ocean all the time so going to hawaii for wildfox was really nice, I have always wanted to go sooo bad…. I really want to go back to hawaii run around for a while.
Your pink hair is a rad trademark, is it something you did on a whim or have you always wanted pink hair? Are you over it?
I’ve always wanted colored hair…. I’ve never really been able to do anything but pink because it wouldnt come out until last year.. I wanted to do all the colors but maybe someday 🙂
How would you describe your personal style, Where do you pull your inspiration from?
I really absorbed a lot in my early childhood, i have really colorful memories of that time that i like to draw inspiration from. My cousins had colorful hair and i remember thinking they dressed cool, along with my mom. I used to love going through their closets and trying everything on. Do you have any hidden talents?I do, but i im waiting for the right time to do the right things.. I used to play instruments and it’s something im going to pursue again.. I’m working on a few side projects right now, so maybe soon i can show people that im not just a model 🙂
If you could be any animal which one would you be and why?
I change my mind on this a lot. I dream about being a monkey a lot, i also dream about being a cheetah.. I think i would be a ring tailed lemur, lemurs are so cool.
Do you get to travel a lot for your work? If so what’s your favorite city that you have visited?
I really loved London, but only because of the people. I love the people but I do not appreciate being on camera at all times. I also loved Amsterdam, driving through Holland was so lovely.
Sometimes the modeling industry gets a bad rap with the jealousy and egos encountered between other models and agencies. Was this true for you? Have you managed to tough it out and make good friends?
I’m the type of person that makes friends with everybody so if anyone ever brings that kind of shit to the table i just laugh.. I don’t care. I feel really bad when i see it happen to other girls..I don’t like seeing people be mean. I think most people are good hearted…at this age a lot of us act out of character. But most people are nice.
Do you ever get shy or uncomfortable in front of the camera?
I feel like i’m the most sensitive model in world. I get really shy in outfits that I feel are too revealing…I’m very sensitive to cold, light, and make up. Probably more than any other model.
Is modeling an easy job or more strenuous than people realize? (How so)For me it is because I’m so sensitive. I feel very lucky that my bookers actually care about me and realize that im sensitive. traveling is so hard on me.. I’m a lot like my pet frog. He is very delicate and lives in a very specific environment and comes with special instructions.
I love princess mononoke, it really is so much like my soul. Pee Wee’s Big Adventure is also my favorite.
Five things you can’t live without? My freedom, my loved ones, my home, comfortable clothes, and extra comfortable shoes..
I read somewhere that your really into making music? What style do you create and is this something you would like to pursue further? I really haven’t started officially. And I couldn’t really describe what style I would make but it’s the same type of music I’ve always made in my head. I hope it works out because it’s what I’ve always wanted to do.
I know your really into spiritual energy things such as myself, what are your thoughts on 2012? More of a mental awaking or world doom gloom?
It will be both. Lets just say that if it’s not a serious mental awakening it will be a serious world doom gloom.. I was born with something really big in my heart, i’ve always had a fighter spirit and I will fight for my freedom until the end. People will call me crazy, conspiracy theorist, whistleblower.. but if ever a World of Doom and Gloom were to come about, they would be the first to go. I think now is a really important time to have an open mind.
Give us 5 facts about you people may not know.
1. People don’t know anything about me, I don’t reveal as much as people think about me… 2. Don’t like traveling with my cute clothes so when you see a picture of me I’m in airplane clothes 3. I eat a lot more than people think4. I haven’t properly gone out since 20095. I don’t drink and i think parties are dumb
What’s the best and worst thing about being a model?
The best thing is getting a new experience and the worst thing is being out of my element. I think it’s really brought me out of a rut I was in for many years.. I feel a lot more grateful about what I’ve been given now. And everyone in the industry takes everything for granted and doesnt appreciate everything.. I’ve become a really appreciative person.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?I would drink my juice, I make juices packed with vegetables and fruit and they make me feel amazing. I love french fries, too.
Cats or dogs? Do you have any pets?
BOTH!! I have so many pets. I love animals so much, I really wish people would fix their animals. It should be the law. I’m sick of seeing kittens and puppies up for adoption. And PETA’s mass pet euthanasia IS NOT THE ANSWER. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS, PLEASE <3
