Can Justin Timberlake Bring Sexy Back To Golf?

He may not be singing about “sexy back” these days – or singing anything at all, for that matter – but companies still rely on Justin Timberlake to help bring sexy back to their goods. Remember when he was supposed to help Myspace? This time around the 29-year-old newly engaged entertainer helped put together a new advertising campaign for golf equipment maker Callaway Golf that targets a younger demographic, reports The Wall Street Journal. Makes sense: JT’s been a paid endorser for Callaway for several years.

The new campaign is trying to attract a younger crowd, which will be quite a feat considering the golf company’s average consumer is 55. It will launch this weekend timed to the Farmers Insurance Open tournament outside San Diego.

“We wanted to make a statement that was more rock ‘n’ roll,” Justin said. The former boy band member-turned-international superstar worked with Factory Design Labs, a Denver ad agency that began creating the new pitch in April.

This sounds like the perfect venture for Justin: he’s a major golf aficionado who hosts a golf tournament in Las Vegas every year for the Shriners Hospitals For Children Open and owns a golf course in his hometown of Memphis.
