Channing Tatum Admits His Acting Isn’t Amazing

It’s funny the things Hollywood stars will openly admit. Whether it be a quirky habit or an outfit they’d rather forget, it’s usually pretty entertaining, but the thing we never really hear is personal criticism about their talent.

However, Tinsel Town’s dreamboat of the moment, Channing Tatum, has decided to open up in the February issue of Details magazine and says he’s well aware of how his talent in front of the camera measures up to the rest of Hollywood’s hottest stars.

“I know I’m not the best actor,” he says. “But I hope my characters are getting better. You gotta do the Dear Johns. You gotta do The Vow. I’m conscious about why I did those parts, those movies. I wanted to learn from Rachel [McAdams] on The Vow. I wanted to learn from Lasse Hallstrom on Dear John. I didn’t go to acting school, so my knowledge of story, filmmaking and character comes from just being on set and doing it.”

Channing who, at 19, worked as an exotic dancer in Florida, just wrapped Magic Mike, in which his character holds the same profession. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if his real life experience and what he’s learned on previous sets has upped his acting game.
