Real Life Style Inspiration: †Norelle Rheingold†

I would like to introduce you to this weeks style inspiration and the NEWEST member of The Fabulous Stains, Norelle Rheingold. Norelle hails from Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany (a beautiful city in the Black Forest next to Switzerland and France). She is a fashion blogger, photographer, musician, passionate artist & performer. In addition she creates images for tattoos, album covers and posters. Fashion is her passion; she loves it and she dreams of becoming an immortal fashion designer. I first became introduced to her when my best friend suggested that I check out her awesome blog. Norelle is aware that fashion always runs in cycles (she believes in keeping her favorite pieces of clothing because she uses them again and again), so its appropriately titled: Fashion Can’t Die! Her blog is currently filled with vintage pieces, second hand clothes and her own creations! Norelle’s inspirations mostly come from movies and music videos from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. She also gets a lot of inspiration from art, photographs, series, comics and japanese street fashion. Norelle’s personal style can be defined as being very experimental and multifaceted. It’s a mixture of Thrift store chic, Kitsch, Grunge, Pop-culture, Futurism, Goth, Punk and DIY. Also very significant for her style are bright colors and humorous prints! Her favorite places to shop are vintage boutiques, second hand shops, flea markets and thrift stores. The fact is, she can find extremely unique and outstanding stuff there at very low prices and each piece has its own history. She also frequents the online clothing stores Etsy, The Cobra Shop and Discount Universe. Her favorite cartoon is Beavis and Butthead, favorite designers are Jeremy Scott and Vivienne Westwood, and her favorite shoes are a pair of CREEPER-208 pearlized glitter cheetah print by Demonia. Not only is Norelle a huge fashion and style inspiration, she is also super fascinating (I mean, she describes her faovirte color as being a “luminous rainbow framed with black”).
