Lea Michele Defends Her Weight: ‘I Can Eat Some Bitches Under the Table!’

Glee‘s Lea Michele seems to be very secure with herself and her looks – so when talk about her weight and a rumor about her possible eating disorder arose, Lea addressed the issue openly.

In the December 2011 issue of Allure magazine, Lea opens up to the magazine about the eating disorder rumors that surfaced last year when she all of a sudden looked very thin in the summer of 2010. In her defense, she says that the weight loss was due to a surgery she had because of an infection in her jaw.

She tells Allure: “I’m half Italian. I can eat some bitches under the table.”

Well said Lea!

Lea isn’t the first to defend her weight this week: she joins Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, who took to Twitter the other week to address their weight issues.

E! Online reported last week that Miley started lashing out on her Twitter to comment on the negative comments she’s received – and she wasn’t going to take it anymore!

“By calling girls like me fat, this is what you’re doing to other people,” Miley tweeted along with a photo of a woman clearly suffering from an eating disorder. “I love MYSELF & if you could say the same you wouldn’t be sitting on your computer trying to hurt others.”

She also posted a Twitpic of Marilyn Monroe with the caption: “Proof that you can be adored by thousands of men even when your thighs touch.”

One major celeb on Miley’s side? None other than “Skyscraper” singer Demi Lovato, who tweeted “AMEN!” and added “@MileyCyrus god I love you. SO DO YOU!!! And whoever called you that has it coming.”

Miley appreciated the kind words from her fellow former Disney starlet, replying back to Demi: “I will destroy any one that ever calls you the F word. You have the SEXIIIESTTT curvyyyy body! I LOVE IT!”

Looks like Lea’s in good company!

Lea’s Allure magazine cover hits newsstands November 22nd.
