Are the Gap and Club Monaco Mannequins ‘Anorexic’?

Pesonally, I don’t see it. Yes, the mannequins are much thinner than the average woman, thereby encouraging the fashion industry’s warped body image blah blah blah, but seriously guys? It seems as if every two weeks there’s a new article in which someone bashes the fashion industry for using skinny models or mannequins or making their clothing sizes too small or whatever. That’s not to say these issues should not be addressed, but frankly, it’s getting old. We know. The fashion industry is full of screwed-in-the-head perfectionists.

It seems as if the Gap is not the only store reducing the size of their store-front mannequins. Club Monaco shoppers got all huffy because the mannequins there had visible collarbones and spines.

Do you think these mannequins are too thin, or are people overreacting?
