Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony End Their Marriage
Say it ain’t so! After seven years of marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are calling it quits and ending their marriage, PEOPLE reports.
“We have decided to end our marriage,” they told PEOPLE exclusively in a joint statement. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”
“It is a painful time for all involved,” the statement continues, “and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”
Jennifer and Marc have been friends for years and have had quite the history together. They dated briefly in the 1990s and then stepped out as a couple early 2004, right after Jennifer broke off her engagement to Ben Affleck and as Marc divorced from his first wife Dayanara Torres.
Jennifer and Marc wed in a secret, casual ceremony in 2004 at Jennifer’s Beverly Hills home. They have two children together: 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.
