GANGURO GYARU
I’ve heard a lot about the popular subculture that was around in the 1990’s and early 2000’s in Japan (mailnly Tokyo). I’m not quite sure what I think of it, but have a look for yourself….
According to wikipedia, “Gyaru” is the Japanese translation of “girl.”
Ganguro Gyaru are girls with bleach blonde to orange hair and tanned skin. //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganguro
Although this trend is “retired”, many individuals in Tokyo continue to sport it, usually adding in their own modern twist (colored hair for example).
