Selena Gomez and Britney Spears Team Up On New Track

Selena Gomez may be dating the current prince of pop, but she’s taking a hand from reigning pop princess Britney Spears on her latest single.

Britney and Selena got together to pen the track, titled “Whiplash.” It sounds like an updated, re-incarnated, old-fashioned late-90s pop song – something Britney would sing if she were 18 in 2011. Enter: Selena.

The song is confirmed on an offical track listing for Selena Gomez & The Scene‘s upcoming album, When the Sun Goes Down, but it’s unconfirmed if this version is final.

Britney’s known for her pop collaborations, having worked with Madonna on her 2003 track “Me Against the Music” and icons Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha on the official remix of her Femme Fatale single “Till The World Ends.” She also lent vocals to the official remix of Rihanna’s “S&M.”
